Winnifred (Winnie) Beesy Kuzara of Minnetonka, MN went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 10, 2020. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Scottsdale, AZ of congestive heart failure. Preceded in death by her parents Mary (Walsh) and Patrick Murray, she is survived by her husband of 63 years Tom, Children: Michael (Ana), Tricia, Ronald, John (Robyn), Eileen (Raj) Keswani and Jeff. Grandchildren: (Michael & Ana): Jane (Daniel), Stella, Aaron (Katrina) and Christopher, (Tricia): Robert, Krista, Thomas and Sean, (John & Robyn): Abby, Ana and Allyson, (Eileen & Raj): Taylor (Kathy) and Lauren, (Jeff): Maxwell and Morgan. Great Grandchildren: (Jane & Daniel): Chandler, (Stella): Alexis, Savannah, Alexander and Sofia, (Taylor & Kathy): Lily, (Aaron & Katrina): Zander. Winnifred Murray was born in Los Angeles June 25, 1935 but spent her childhood in Denver, CO. She loved spending summers with her mother at the beach in La Jolla, CA. After the death of her mother when Winnie was only 15, she went to Los Angeles to live with her aunt and uncle and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Hollywood. Following high school, she attended Colorado Women’s College in Denver where she met her future husband Tom Kuzara, who was attending Colorado School of Mines. After stops in New York City and Los Angeles they settled in Minnetonka where they raised all 6 of their children. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Winnie loved movies and musicals. She loved traveling to Ireland, Italy, Germany and the Holy Land. She was even re-baptized in the river Nile while in Egypt. Her faith was her greatest commitment in life. Winnie built a wonderful community of friends within the St. Therese Catholic Church parish as well as in Scottsdale at Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish. Her cheerful smile, joyful personality, and gentle demeaner will be missed by her family and friends. Services will be held on June 25th at St. Therese Church in Deephaven. Visitation is at 9:30, funeral mass at 11am.
