Scott Donald Sinjem made his journey home on April 25th due to the Covid 19 virus and the idiocy in Washington D.C. Scott also fought a long battle with frontal lobe dementia. Scott was born in Duluth on May 28, 1959 to Donald and Barbara Sinjem. The oldest of four boys, Scott grew up in New Hope with siblings Steve, Chuck and Todd. Growing up Scott loved to play hockey and soccer. Some of his best memories were his in sports successes with his friends and brothers at Cooper High School. He also loved to fish with his grandpas. Scott graduated from St.Thomas in 1981. He began his accounting career with big 8 firm Peat Marwick & Mitchell. He spent most of his career as Chief Financial Officer of Hardrives, Inc. and FABcon. Scott's deepest love was his family. He was a devoted father, husband, son & big brother. Scott was a dedicated father to his children Hannah & Sam. He proved his dedication and also his bravery when he joined the "Dads" dance group at Hannah's dance studio. Throughout his 9 year battle with dementia Scott amazed those who visited him with his courage and by always remaining positive and upbeat. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Scott is survived by his children Hannah and Sam, his father, Don (Kitty) Sinjem, brothers, Steve (Jackie), Chuck (Mary) and Todd (Kim) Sinjem and numerous nieces and nephews. I knew Scott since our St Raphael And Cooper days. We had a great childhood there, with harmless fun. Scott was a wonderful person. It was very touching to read Bill Olson’s name in the obit. I am very sorry for your loss.

I met Scott at the University of St. Thomas and we went on to work together at KPMG/Peat Marwick. He was an outstanding individual and a good friend to many.
I hope his children and family can take comfort in the fact that he is now in Heaven, where the quality of life is so wonderful and far too glorious for us to even imagine, and there’s no dementia or COVID-19.

I was Scott’s roommate at St. Thomas. We he moved into the dorm, Scott showed up with a cooler of beer and we quickly became good friends. I was always welcomed in the Sinjem home and enjoyed my visits there while in college. I want to express my sympathy to everyone in the family. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Scott will always be in our heart. He was an amazing man. He is at peace. He is with Aunty Barb, Mitch and Grandparents. He is fishing again. We love him with all of our heart.
