She is preceded in death by her parents Agnes (Schmitz) and Gustave Knott; loving and faithful husband of 54 years Arland "Mac" McCaul; precious children Corrine (Abel), Jerry, and baby Diane; beloved grandchildren Stephanie Triplett (Kaufenberg) and baby Brian Yap; brothers Lester and Gus Knott; and brother-in-law Bob Bedard. Evelyn is survived by her children Cathy Nielsen (David), Jim McCaul (LouEllen), Maria Kaufenberg (Kim) and Paula Yap (Bret); son-in-law Bob Abel (Corrine); grandchildren Brianna, Crystal, Jerah, Austen, James, Lindsey, Gary, Alison, Megan, Bret, Jr. and Brighton; 21 great-grandchildren; sister Vivian Bedard; brother Virgil Knott (Gloria); sisters-in-law Delores (Lester) and Irene (Gus) Knott; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Evelyn graduated in '47 from North High School. She worked in the accounting office of Red Owl Stores where she met corporate pilot Arland "Mac" McCaul. They were married May 24, 1950. Evelyn lived a life brimming with love for her family, friends, and God. She was creative, inventive, had an entrepreneurial spirit, and was passionate in exploring natural health remedies. Along with all that she had a great appreciation for humor. As a mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sorely missed.
