Curtiss Jay Olson passed away on May 23, 2019 at age 47. Because of his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Savior, he is now in heaven. Curtiss was born on July 20, 1971. On October 16, 1998 he married Claire Sommerville, who survives him with their four children: Declan, Holly, Patrick and Gemma and the family dog Jake. Curt’s family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed every moment with them.
Curtiss is also survived by his parents, Kenneth Olson and Margo and David (stepfather) Lindmark; his siblings Kristie (Mike) Diener, Jule (Jay) Coughlan, Randall Olson, Kenneth Olson Jr.; and stepsister Rebecca (Richard) Bauer. He has numerous nieces and nephews. Curtiss was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Bradley Lindmark.
Curtiss graduated from Minnehaha Academy in 1989. Following graduation, Curt served in the Marine Corps for thirteen years; Marine security guard at U.S. Embassies and other theaters of operations. While on tour in Bahrain, he met his wife Claire. He continued his education through a Master’s degree from Capella University. In recent years Curtiss has been a business consultant and a Senior Director for Vistra Global Business Services.
Memorials may be given to the family for the children’s future education. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Westwood Community Church, Pastor Brian Suter officiating.

A private burial will take place at Ft. Snelling.
