Obituary for Jackson "Jack" Snidarich

Jackson "Jack" Snidarich
Snidarich, Jackson "Jack" Alexander 24 years, Minneapolis/Mound, died as a result of a dirt biking accident on July 27, 2018. If you were lucky enough to know my son Jack, your world was a brighter and happier place because of it. He lit up any room he entered with his smile and sense of humor, and he was always up for an adventure and fun. Jack loved people. Somehow, he managed to forge a connection with just about everyone he met, and you were then ushered into the circle of friends and family that surrounded him. From a very young age Jack understood that relationships were meant to be substantial. He dug into those relationships and was really with you; got to know you; anticipated what you needed, and delivered it in spades with enthusiasm. His friends and family can tell you all the stuff he did with and for them. He stood beside them. He was watchful for anyone struggling in the room, in the crowd, off to the side, or around the corner. Jack helped pull many of his friends through difficult timesthe kind that young people often experience when they're growing up and trying to figure things out. Jack lived a life of service and friendship to others. At work or play, Jack was also hilarious and fun to be around. He was inventive and daring, which often translated into the kind of fun and stunts that make for the best storiesthe stories you tell over and over, laughing anew each time stories that no one told better than Jack. There was also a serious and earnest side to Jack. He had been striving to be the best kind of mana man who lived his life and loved his people fully and transparently. It was a joy to see that Jack was so proud of the work he did, and had arrived at a point where he was living out the wildly ambitious and adventurous vision he had in mind for his life. Our home will never feel as full of life again, Jack. We love you so much and we will miss you. Our hearts ache, and our sorrow over losing you is heavy and extraordinary in its depth, but we promise to honor you by seeking out the joy and goodness that you squeezed out of every moment of your beautiful life. Jack is preceded in death by his grandpa, Ken Hammerschmidt of Long Lake, MN. He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Hammerschmidt-Snidarich (Derek Trost) and father, Richard Snidarich (Karen Linn); brothers, Rick Snidarich (Bozeman, MT), Nick Snidarich (Eagan, MN), Josiah Snidarich (Eagan, MN) and sister Madison Snidarich (Seattle, WA); grandparents, Marge Hammerschmidt (Plymouth, MN), Gae Snidarich (Watertown, MN), and Bill Snidarich (Hillman, MN), as well as countless loving family and friends. There will be a visitation on Thursday, August 2 from 4-8 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2451 Fairview Ln, Mound, MN (952-472-1416). Funeral service, Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2 pm also at St. John's Lutheran Church, followed by a celebration of his beautiful, vibrant life at the American Legion, 2333 Wilshire Blvd, Mound, MN.
