Obituary for Margaret Beardsley

Margaret Beardsley
Beardsley, Margaret U. "Peggy" Age 72 of Deephaven, passed away peacefully at her home on April 11, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mary Urban. Peggy loved life; she had a radiant smile and sparkling eyes you picked up from across the room, an extension of the best of her Irish heritage. She will be greatly missed. Her energy, deep commitment, and love were evident through her presence at her children's activities, devotion to her friends, and lasting contributions to the communities in which she lived. Peggy's service included roles as a member of St. Therese Pastoral Council and eucharistic minister, President of the Cottagewood Community Foundation, President of the Minnetonka High School Skippers Booster Club, President of Wade Thomas Parent Association, Chairman of the Save our Schools program, in addition to others. Survived by husband of 50 years, Jim; sister, Maureen; daughters, Kate (Kevin), Stacy (Karla); son, Craig (Mimi); grandchildren, Maggie, Ryan, Ellie, Tashi, Robert, and Aiden. Funeral mass will be held Friday, May 19 at 11 AM, St. Therese Church, 18325 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven. Visitation one hour prior to the service and reception to follow at the Lafayette Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Peggy's name to Struthers Parkinson Center.
